THE MENTAL HEALTH WORLD CUP: BEEF FC

I’ve never made a secret of my mental health struggles, and a few years ago they overwhelmed me and I tried to kill myself. I was lucky and I am still here but recently some friends of mine weren’t afforded the same reprieve. Keith (Beef) died last year and Anna in 2023.There are so many people who suffer in silence, contemplating the worst. I have written for CALM , worked with them and raised money for them before. It is a charity which does great good for mental health and through them I heard about the Mental Health World Cup .  We have entered a team to the 5 a side football World Cup, which is a name for something that is in no way a world cup, but a great way to raise money and awareness for such a destructive place for people to be. Playing as Beef FC, we'll be stepping out at The New Den, Millwall's stadium, on Sunday May 24th.
